Condolences

Today was a very sad day.
Now I never knew or even met the genius that is Alexander McQueen, but today I did quite upset to learn about his passing. I couldn't believe what I was reading, almost instantly as it was posted on the Daily Mail website. I instantly shouted out to the web team to see who had heard this tragic news, and Laura looked at me rather confusedly, as I could see she was reading the article the exact same time I was.
Being the Daily Mail, I was hoping their stupid journalists had once again, reported wrong. But this was not to be a usual crazy post from the Daily Mail.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of the genius collection from 2008 where McQueen used nudes, blacks and fluro colours on his catwalk, that inspires me every day.

This will always remain my favourite menswear collection of all time. I just love the mixture of fabrics and the nude and black tones mixed together with the fluro - a clear inspiration to me at all times - as I call them "Bob tones" - colours that suit my skin tone the most.

Anyay, I just wanted to acknowledge what a great mind Alexander McQueen was, and although very tragic, we cannot forget his family and close ones who will surely be missing their friend as we all admire from afar.
I really hope his wishes are fulfilled and he can be left peacefully along with all those around him.

The older I get, the more of my idols I see pass, but I hope that they continue to inspire me through life and always remember to stay humble.
Lord knows what I will do the day I hear about Karl Lagerfeld passing. This day will never officially happen for me!!!!
