Weeks

It's has been too many weeks since I last blogged, and I have way too much to share with you. This blog entry may not run chronologically, I will probably mix the past few weeks into one big day, but you don't care anyway, I've had a blast... This blog post may also feel like it's about 10 separate blog posts in one, but whatever...

Today was a fabulous day. I spent the day in st. Albans with good friend Sophie, we had tea in a great tea shop called 'The Merchant Tea and Coffee company'

I've always wanted to pop in, but was always a bit intimidated by the exterior! It looks a bit extravagant, no? But being curious cats, me and Soph popped in and had a great tea, so many flavours, so little time. We also had a Wagamama and a Costa tea earlier in the day, today was about indulgence for us both!
I'll let you know the interesting things I bought...

The "Reversy Percy" pigs are AMAZING! I couldn't stop laughing when Sophie pointed them out, of course she had read all about them previously and couldn't wait to try them out, Sophie likes to eat as much as I do!!! The bracelet from Whistles was WAY too small, But I decided I would look on the old EEB and recreate the bracelet myself, I bought a thin bangle with loop, and an 'I love you' spinner charm - instead of just a 'Love' spinner charm to complete the look. I am totally obsessed with my 'I love you' spinner necklace I purchased from Marc by Marc many years ago in Hollywood, and when my Dad told me he used to wear them in the 60's, that was it, I bought several more of the necklaces when I went back to America a few years later and will try and afford the expensive 18carot gold ones I always see in Selfridges - Can't remember where I see them exactly, but I know there one in there somewhere...
And the Amber coloured bangle. I have totally become obsessed with amber recently.

While looking in Selfridges a few weeks ago with my Diva friend Natalie, as she was purchasing Tom Ford - White Orchid for her Mother for Mother's day, I decided to smell the other perfumes on the table, The first I picked up was Amber Absolute and I was brought back to Melaka and my Childhood holidays in Malaysia, in which we would visit my Grandma in the Kampung house, and there would be an amber incense burning constantly. I couldn't believe what I was smelling - not only for the nostalgia, but also because it's over £100 a bottle. I searched for weeks to find a cheaper alternative, and Friday night while patrolling Westfield, I found B MEN by Thierry Mugler in Beauty Base, I have never seen this perfume before, and was only drawn to it for the fact that I wear Angel and love all Thierry Mugler creations, thanks my curiosity I discovered that this was enough amber scent for me to wear on a daily basis, and at only £20, I could definitely invest. I don't think this perfume is in production anymore, but Beauty Base in Westfield stocks a lot of 'old' perfumes... Great.
So that's why I'm obsessed with amber at the moment.
Also Jade. I bought a jade bangle a few weeks ago while in Portsmouth, after seeing my glamorous friend Hannah (Sophie's sister coincidentally) wearing a jade bangle the other day. Which also brings me back, My Mother and aunts used to wear jade necklaces, the donut pendant ones on a yellow gold chain. When I asked what it was to my aunt, she would always reply "It's my medicine" and I became interested. Hannah reignited my interest and now I'm totes obsessed with jade too.

Here are two rings Ive also bought from lazy oaf. I love them so much. I love the NO - Very Viktor and Rolf, no? haha, and the heart breaker ring. I love a heart shape, ever since Viktor and Rolf did the wedding collection at H&M, I adore the heart shaped cufflinks that came with the shirts, I bought a few of items from that collection, still my favourite high street collab!

I bought this bag a few weeks ago from Zara, I got the strap shortened, this picture is not an up-to-date photograph, but it now sits better on my shoulder as a shoulder bag, only coming down to my hip! much better.
I bought these boots from River Island, at £74.99, I think they are bloody brilliant! Totally what I've been looking for, and as my other Military boots broke from River Island (returned ad refunded) I thought it was about time for a replacement, and these are very me. I've had so many compliments over them I cannot believe it.
I got my Gladiator sandals from Urban Outfitters. Aren't they great? Exactly what I've been looking for, something a bit vintage looking, but still masculine, and enclosed enough so that I don't have too much of my foot on display, I hate my feet!

I also got this cute tee a few weeks ago from H&M kids, it's got loads of smoke explosions all over it, with eyes, very funny and scary, and hopefully nobody else my age will have it. Thank god for H&M kids...

Now onto What I've Seen these past few weeks...

Perfect eye make up, eh? I'm totally obsessed with this eye make up. I prefer it when girls wear eye liner like this with no eye liner on underneath the eye, so much more flattering than a panda eye.
From the makers of Fantastic Man - My favourite men's magazine, comes 'the gentlewoman' - This looks very interesting, I had a flick inside, not as beautiful as the layout in Fantastic Man, but still looks fabulous, Deffo buy if you wanna be a dignified woman!

I also came across this spread in 'Another Man' (left) which is VERY similar to this spread from Arena Homme + a few years back which is quite annoying, I don't know if it's by the same designer, I don't believe it is, but it's pretty brassy to do something like this, right?

A perfect idea from Elle. I loved the issue with Chloe Sevigny this month, she is one of my idols, I love everything she does, and her interview was great. Big Love is one of my favourite TV sitcoms at the moment, and lets not forget the movie 'Party Monster'!! But anyway, this Elle 'How to shop' article really made me think twice about the shopping spree I went on with my cousin Kym the day after I read it.
The shopping spree consisted of buying the studded boots, sandals and on the hunt for the amber perfume... but it also consisted of both of us getting out eyebrows threaded. Kym had hers done in Topshop - and she didn't rate it much at all, and was convinced that they weren't symmetrical, even though they were perfectly symmetrical and only agreed way after giving the technician a bollocking (haha) I got mine done in Westfield at Malika only because we didn't have enough time to do it in Topshop as I had a wet shave booked (free) in the Fashion show event that happened in Westfield last week. The Wet shave was amazing...

and was so close, my hair didn't seem to grow in as fast as it usually does. Anyway Malika was amazing, she did my eye brows perfectly, I hate small brows on guys, so got them as thick and natural as possible but just a bit more arched...
And as you can see from out stupid posing which 'Telephone' played in the bar, we both look fabulous! haha...

Also this past few weeks my skin has been terribly dry, it wasn't until I went through a few different moisturizer trials that I remembered something I had changed in my routine which caused my skin to be so dry. I had stopped cleansing and toning! How could I forget such an essential part of skin care. I decided to stop cleansing and toning a couple of months ago to see what would happen to my skin - to see if I actually needed to do it - and it made such a bad impact on my skin that I now cleanse and tone like mad!!!
I decided to buy this fabulous range from boots to fulfill my needs:
It has worked wonders on my skin and I will never look back. I also got the Cold Cream from the same range, but I cannot find it online. I took advantage of the 3-for-2 offer that they have at the moment on a lot of their skin care brands, and stocked up good and proper so my skin will be thanking me for a few months to come too.

So now onto a few items that I WANT/NEED in my life...
This River Island men's hooded shirt, which wears more like a military jacket. I totally love this shirt / jacket and really want it in my life.. It's a beige colour, I have been looking for a khaki coloured military jacket for a few months now, but I haven't found one good enough, and I find this shirt which will be perfect, but wrong colour, I will decide on this as the time goes by...

I have a pair of tasseled loafer identical to these ones from Topshop, mine, however, are vintage from Ebay about 5 years ago, my ones have broken a few times before, and I've had them re heeled and fixed up good and proper, but they have had their time. After many years of wear, they have given up, and now I want these identical replicas to put on my feet, HOWEVER, I cannot find them anywhere, I am not destined to have these shoes? That's a damn shame... The search continues... If anyone sees these in a size 8, buy them for me NOW!!! They show off my tattoo perfectly...

Lastly look at my fabulous friend Emma in More magazine... hahaha. I love ther outfit so much, totally the best one in the entire back catalogue of 'Street Style' or whatever this page is called..?

Anyway, As of this week, I am deffo trying to blog more often, it isn't fun trying to shove many weeks into one post, and confusing myself...
