Late

On Friday me and Alice wore:

Don't we look chic!!!

I am way more excited about Janet Jackson covering WONDERLAND magazine, however. January has been such a boring month for me, Alice has been up to her usual second-rate-diva antics, however I have been left uninspired and tired... Anyway, Jackson is FIERCE! Cannot wait to buy this magazine in a few days time, and also to buy the new LOVE out next week too... I still need to decide who I want to buy naked... I'm thinking:

I should have left my phone at home...

Alice and I have been singing "Telephone" by Lady Gaga and Beyonce non-stop since The Fame Monster reared it's ugly head, and I can not be happier to see some first-look pictures taken on location at their new shoot.

Hopefully this video will be amazing, it's directed by Jonas Akerlund - Who also directed Paparazzi, so I'm guessing it'll be as fabulous, and the new video is said to have a woman's prison theme? Okay, Gaga, whatever floats your boat.

What We Wore

Today was a special day, I was overly inspired by the recent Burberry menswear, and I created a little something in honor...

 That's right... Today I wore:

Embellished Topman Jumper using Military buttons bought off E-Bay, Pleather jeans from H&M and River Island Buckled Boots.

I felt extra special wearing my embellished shoulder jumper today, I had many compliments from all staff at River Island Head Office, and it gave me a little kick in my step, which I am very much in need of, I have been extra moody this week - call it my time of the month, haha! But anyway, I bought the buttons from E-Bay - 60 for £10, which I thought was an absolute bargain seeing as they are quite expensive for just one button in local haberdasheries from what I hear, although these buttons did smell very vintage.
Nothing a bit of perfume cannot fix.

I wish I had ordered more buttons, as there were about 100 more, but I only ordered 60, I would have been able to create the more extravagant effect as seen here on the Burberry catwalk, however, I was happy with what I had created and it was enough for now, maybe in the future I will button a whole shirt, until then...

Alice wore:

All River Island. She was representing today, and she did it in the same Military chic I was pulling off. I love how we manage to match most days and yet have such different tastes in style.

Ssssoooo whilst looking for some much needed inspo today at work I stumbled across this little gem... Burberrys Menswear Spring/Summer 2010 lookbook totally fabulous and full of inspiration!! A few seasons ago you would have hardly been able to trace the Burberry check but now Christopher Bailey and his team have enlarged the checks making them much more abstract and form patterns for garments. The Burberry Brit Spring/Summer 2010 menswear collection is now available in Burberry stores and at burberry.com The Spring Summer look book has been modelled by a very handsome devil Tom Nicon!

In this collection you will find Belted rain mac, parkas, oversized fishtail parka, military jacket, cropped trench coats, short raincoats, naval peacoats, mid length cagoules, vintage flight bomber, fishing jacket, slim fit shirts, new slim fit polo, vintage raglan sweatshirt, slim fit scoop v t-shirt, relaxed fit chino, slim fit chino, utility short, tapered leg jean, straight leg jean, slim fit jean, modern fit cotton, easy fit cashmere, knitwear as outerwear, skinny military ribs

I think Christopher Bailey gets it right every time and I am so impressed by this Spring/Summer collection. Here are some of my fav looks from the collection...

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB
These three Northern Irish lads have a cool, sweet edgey feel to their music and their videos, my favourite song that I have heard so far is 'I can talk'

Two Door Cinema Club have announced that they are giving away a free non-album download, plus details of a new London show. The fast-rising band will be offering up 'Costume Party' as a download from their website, http://twodoorcinemaclub.com/ from January 19. They have revealed that they will headline the London Heaven venue on May 26 following a March tour.

As well as their own headline gigs they will support The Maccabees for two Shockwaves NME Awards Shows next month in Ireland and Northern Ireland. They will play the Dublin Academy on February 21 then the Belfast Mandela Hall on February 22.

The Northern Irish trio release their debut album, 'Tourist History', on March 1.

The next band I have been listening to and finding the feud between them and Marina and the Diamonds ever so amusing..

THE DRUMS

Another four lads from Brooklyn NY whose style is a mix of 50's American rock n roll kid slash geek kid which I love. There music...not revolutionary just another indie band but I think they are cool and there songs are catchy. Hopefully they will kiss and make up with Marina and the Diamonds who claims they are not "Original" Ilove there video 'Lets go surfing'

Shopping List

Me and Petey get paid in 2 weeks...LONG.com which seems a life time away but that hasn't stopped me making a shopping list of my MUST haves for next Month...

First I have spotted two dresses I need in my life despo from ASOS, The first a simple black puff sleeve micro mini skater skirt dress £28. As I always say a girl can never have to many black dresses! Its my FAV colour if no one had guessed already.

The second one is this crochet skater dress in cream (See Peter I do experiment with colour) £36 I think this dress is just fabulous, I love the cut and crochet is going to be everywhere this S/S 10.

I am sssoooo desperate for a decent Women's Military jacket and I cannot for the life of me find a nice one anywhere! All I see in the high street stores are gorgeous Men's military jackets which FYI I think all men should own a military jacket it does EVERYTHING for you.... take a look at my two favourite River island Men's Jackets.

BUT I have found a wonderful women's military cardigan again on ASOS by Rare £45 my only worry with the red style military, I don't want to look to Cheryl Cole fight for this love????

And my FINAL purchase of next month which I MUST have and will not be able to get through the month of february without are these shoe boots from Toppers! £80

Friday!!!

Thank goodness it's Friday, I am absolutely pooped after this week. I am still in Holiday mode, as is Alice, who is still dreaming of Thailand, even though it's a very distant memory now... But anyway, today was a very casual affair...

Alice wears White and Black, lace and Jersey dress Primark, Grey tights Topshop and River Island Black Military boots.
Details include:

Topshop PU biker jacket and H&M Faux Fur stole - we both have one of these fabulous scarfs - It's the mark of a true second rate Diva espesh when worn with a faux leather biker jacket ;)

I wore Topman Navy Rounded Collar Shirt, UniQlo Black Chinos, Vintage Red Belt, Topman Velvet Slipper Shoes. Very much a Hugh today, and mucho compliments all round concerning my "slippers" - Very impressed.

Vintage finds

Freudian Slips Vintage is an online vintage boutique that sells the most fabulous day and evening wear, as well as jewels, shoes and handbags, I have been looking around and spotted these two dresses, they are fabulous, If I were a girl, even just for a day, I would wear both these dresses. I would change my costume at least 10 times a day so I'd need plenty of dresses and heels! hah!

WANT

So want this tee – I’m way too geeky for my own good!

O.M.G

Raquel Zimmermann features in the new Alexander Mcqueen ad campaign shot by Nick Knight, and I could not be more amazed by such a colourful, fabulous, high fashion photograph!
I cannot wait to see the rest of the photographs for this campaign, they will be plastered all over my walls and scrap books no doubt.

Outfit

On Wednesday Alice wore Black Dress Topshop, Black Tights and River Island Black Military heeled boots

I wore Topman Tuxedo Jacket, Topman Light Pink Striped Tee, Alexander McQueen Scarf, Cheap Monday Jeans, Carvela Black Brogue, Guess White Enamel watch and other arm accessories

Today Alice wore Topshop Floral Dress, River Island Black Military heeled boots, and a massive smile to celebrate the end of the working day

I wore Black Pleather Topman Jacket, Topman Navaro Print Tee, Topman Long Silver Chain, Cheap Monday Jeans, Vintage Belt and Black Patent DMs

Sorry for the lack of outfit updates, I have done two in one day here, But I am just so sleepy these days, everything is catching up on me, I am looking haggard and I am in need of some Touche Eclat, but I keep forgetting to put the damn stuff on, silly me.

Anyway, after work me and Alice popped to Westfield and I saw the damn shoes I've been wanting forever, ever since I read the Hackett book on how to be a Gentleman a few years back (my Internet is running far too slow to even bother looking for the correct title and link - So will post another time I'm sure) I read about the Belgian slippers, which I have obsessed about ever since. I never thought twice about buying a pair as they are well over £200 for a good pair, and the most expensive item I have ever bought myself are my croc H&M Jimmy Choos, so Belgian slippers are out of the question... However, Topman recently released a watered down version of the good ol' Belgian slipper, and to my delight, said items went into the sale for £25. I knew straight away that I must have them, But the only downside is they are burgundy. There is a saying in this world: Only prostitutes and small children wear red shoes, there are deffo exceptions to every rule, and these shoes prove that:

Anyway, I must get my beauty sleep, I leave you with...

Happy Families.

Ardell

As you are all aware of my slight OBSESSION with fake lashes the bigger the better!!! I have discovered these Ardell lashes 100% Human Hair lashes in Boots £5.00 that look utterly fabulous! and I CANNOT wait to try them on.....

I normally stick with the old Eyelure 107/140 or Mac 39 today at work I wore Eyelure 107 and strutted round the office like the second rate diva I am fluttering my eyelashes at all the boys!!! ONLY JOKING it was more in the direction of Peter/Alex and Pitchfork, who all wondered if I had something in my eye! All in a days work me thinks...

Tattoo???

Soooooooo I came back from my holiday to find that a wave of new tattoos had swept through head office much to my satisfaction!!! Especially my working partner in crime Alex (Who was featured in the blog 'Alex - Coolest Kid In East London')I love his new tattoo check it out....

I have two tattoos already and I NEED more! And I want to cover up one of the ones I have already to make it slightly different!!! I have seen going through loads and loads of websites and doing my own drawing of things I like that I have seen etc etc and I think I have narrowed a few final ones down!!! I thought I would share with you my inspo and the tattoos that I have liked along the way as well...

Marc Jacobs:

Juicy Campaign:

When looking for tattoos I was instantly drawn to the male tattoos which I think look utterly fabulous! OBV I wouldn't cover myself in tattoos like all of the above because it wouldn't suit me. BUT If I was born a boy I would cover myself head to toe in tattoos LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! So far all my inspo has been from male tattoos??? Weird I think I just like the more masculine shapes of the tattoos compared to all the womens one which are a wee bit flowery and girly for me??? And on that note I shall keep you posted when I have made my final desisions!
