So what is on my stereo this week...!!! Well well I have been listening to loads of music this week more so then usual and a few have really caught my eye or ear should I say??? So I thought I would share with you wonderful people what I have been playing on my stereo:
TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB
These three Northern Irish lads have a cool, sweet edgey feel to their music and their videos, my favourite song that I have heard so far is 'I can talk'
Two Door Cinema Club have announced that they are giving away a free non-album download, plus details of a new London show. The fast-rising band will be offering up 'Costume Party' as a download from their website, http://twodoorcinemaclub.com/ from January 19. They have revealed that they will headline the London Heaven venue on May 26 following a March tour.
As well as their own headline gigs they will support The Maccabees for two Shockwaves NME Awards Shows next month in Ireland and Northern Ireland. They will play the Dublin Academy on February 21 then the Belfast Mandela Hall on February 22.
The Northern Irish trio release their debut album, 'Tourist History', on March 1.
The next band I have been listening to and finding the feud between them and Marina and the Diamonds ever so amusing..
THE DRUMS
Another four lads from Brooklyn NY whose style is a mix of 50's American rock n roll kid slash geek kid which I love. There music...not revolutionary just another indie band but I think they are cool and there songs are catchy. Hopefully they will kiss and make up with Marina and the Diamonds who claims they are not "Original" Ilove there video 'Lets go surfing'
Check out there website http://wearethedrums.com/index2.html
ALSO I cannot STOP listening to Florence and the Machines album 'Lungs' I literally listen to it everyday at least once! What an amazing album and what an amazing women Florence Welch is my favourite song from the album is 'Kiss with a Fist'I am going to try so hard to get tickets to her gigs that she is doing at the Hammersmith Apollo in May check out Florences website... http://florenceandthemachine.net/
