Today was a special day, I was overly inspired by the recent Burberry menswear, and I created a little something in honor...
Embellished Topman Jumper using Military buttons bought off E-Bay, Pleather jeans from H&M and River Island Buckled Boots.
I felt extra special wearing my embellished shoulder jumper today, I had many compliments from all staff at River Island Head Office, and it gave me a little kick in my step, which I am very much in need of, I have been extra moody this week - call it my time of the month, haha! But anyway, I bought the buttons from E-Bay - 60 for £10, which I thought was an absolute bargain seeing as they are quite expensive for just one button in local haberdasheries from what I hear, although these buttons did smell very vintage.
Nothing a bit of perfume cannot fix.
I wish I had ordered more buttons, as there were about 100 more, but I only ordered 60, I would have been able to create the more extravagant effect as seen here on the Burberry catwalk, however, I was happy with what I had created and it was enough for now, maybe in the future I will button a whole shirt, until then...
Alice wore:
All River Island. She was representing today, and she did it in the same Military chic I was pulling off. I love how we manage to match most days and yet have such different tastes in style.

Peter you clever stick! That looks fantastic! The irony is that yours probably cost more to make than the Burberry version :)
ReplyDeleteAlice you look lovelyl. I wish I could pull off military chic, it just doesn't go with short hair! :(

Hey Thanks, I love a bit of customization, It is annoying that it prob did cost more than the Burb version... One day I'll own that Burb version and I wont care! And Military would look great with short hair? x
