XXXO

It's been long over-due. But a blog post describing my new job and what goes along with it is now here. Me and Alice have been apart (at work - of course we've seen each other for dinner at Wagamamas here and there) for about 2 months now, and it's simply awful. No one to abuse while at work has become such a hindrance to my character, and I'm sure Alice will say the same thing - she used to abuse me quite a lot of work - second rate diva.

Anyway, I have now been working with farfetch.com for about 2 months now, while also going to Malaysia for 2 weeks, so it only feels like I've been there just over a month, as my first two weeks were really introductory weeks which I researched. My job is to design and maintain the 'editorial' sections of the website, which I am slowly but surely trying to create an identity for. That's my job and I thoroughly enjoy it. Working with some fabulous people, which some of you might have spotted in the press, is also the best part about the job. learning so much about the fashion / business world and what goes along with it will help me to grow up - and fast. a far cry from the River Island's of this world. Don't get me wrong, I loved River Island - but it taught me nothing in the final several months I was there.

Working in East London is also the craziest place I've worked. with so much happening, sample sales a go-go, Soho house for lunch, Ruby's and The Breakfast club becoming my regular 'fatty Friday' places (actually it doesn't have to be a Friday, I'm a fatty eater any time of the week) I'm becoming quite a lover of the East - before me and Alice were always hanging out west, we were too used to the Westfields and Oxford Circus delights that I didn't know what to expect. I can say I have been converted.

My spending habits, however, have not been converted. They are as crazy as ever, I now own about 500 Hawaiian shirts, I've been investing in great jeans, trousers, jackets - all sorts. I cannot stop. But I must. If I ever hope to move out (which I am in a month) I cannot continue with this, and neither can my wardrobe hold anymore. I literally now have two bedrooms (one in Portsmouth) FULL of clothes. and I cannot believe how much I have. I could leave all my belongings here in my current flat, move back to Portsmouth, ad still have a different outfit to wear every day for several months. It has GOT TO STOP!
Now that I've told myself off, and kind of filled you in with whats been happening. I can continue to try and organize some kind of blogs for the future. me and Alice have agreed to try and blog three times a week, and with me moving out and hopefully sorting myself out, I will deffo have more time to organize these things. More to come...
